iMSB Release 1.1

iMSB Release 1.1 has been released today on the iTunes store.

Release 1.1 is essentially focussed on enhancements and additions targeted for the iPhone 5 platform and its bigger screen. Some additional features were however also made available to the other devices.


Features:

  • The Map view can now be rotated manually
  • Map type can be changed between standard, hybrid and satellite in the application settings
  • Added possibility to optionally record level notifications instead of only alarms in the flight log. The option can be enabled in the application settings
  • Flight log events are now recorded in rich text format and colorised (iOS 6 only)
  • Added rich text editing features in the flight log editor (iOS 6 only)
  • The flight replay control functions have been completely rewritten. It is now possible to control replay speed, cuing to a specific position, as well as pausing and resuming playback from the main screen. Hence on a 3.5'' display the flight log view has been replaced by a playback control panel. On the iPhone 5 it is displayed additionally
  • Added an Alarm notification panel on the iPhone 5 when doing realtime logging
  • Added additional voice commands to control file playback

Enhancements:

  • Improved iPhone 5 display handling. Sensor values are less packed. Added provision for showing a third value in the lower display pane
  • Positioning of values in the display views has been improved and are now handled more dynamically
  • Added a maximum statistic to voltage and battery capacity sensor values
  • The Vario and Speed meters can now display statistics in place of the second value. Whenever the second value is disabled in the display view settings, the defined first value statistics are shown
  • Improved display view initialisation
  • Various visual display improvements and changes

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed inaccurate heading display on the map view
  • Corrected inaccurate default field statistics allocation in the display view settings
  • Field statistics were not stored correctly and could be lost during application re-launch
  • Several minor fixes
